Google has suspended the app from its Play Store by stating that Parler had failed to comply with its policy against violence promotion.

“For us to distribute an app through Google Play, we do require that apps implement robust moderation for egregious content. In light of this ongoing and urgent Public Safety threat, we are suspending that app’s listing from Play Store until it addresses issues,” Google said in a report.

Apple issued a warning and has asked Parler to provide its content moderation plan detail, if failed to do so, the tech giant will also be banning the app from its App Store.

Parler is a haven for people who are banned from Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram due to their extremely controversial contents.

Trump supporters, right-learning netizens were swarming the app, rather than taking it on to the mainstream platforms like Facebook and Twitter. Right-leaning social media users are also flocking into messaging apps like Telegram and hands-off social site Gab, posting violence-proking political comments.

On the 09th of January, Twitter permanently suspended President Donald Trump’s account due to the violation of their policy.

Violence-provoking comments like “How do we take back our country? About 20 or so coordinated hits”, “Millions Militia March” on Washington,” were on fire on those platforms.

“Content that threatens the well-being of others or is intended to incite violence or other lawless acts has never been acceptable on the App Store,” Apple said in a report according to Reuters.

This free-speech media – Parler was founded by John Matze in 2018 as an uncensored free-speech platform alternative to other mainstream social media.

Trump’s lawyer Rudy Guiliani, commentator Candance Owens, right-leaned activist Laura Loomer are some of those who had joined the free-speech platform. Funding for Parler was provided by the hedge-fund investor Robert Mercer and his family.

Mr. Matze, Chief Executive of Parler denied accepting the claims that the platform was the whole reason for the attack.

“Apparently they believe Parler is responsible for all user-generated content on Parler. Therefore by the same logic, Apple must be responsible for all actions taken by their phones. Every car bomb, every illegal cell phone conversation, every illegal crime committed on an iPhone, Apple must also be responsible for Standards not applied to Twitter, Facebook or even Apple themselves, apply to Parler,” he fired back in a report.

But the platform can still be accessed through the website.
