Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge India Launch Anticipated as Handset Reportedly Surfaces on BIS Website

Samsung’s highly anticipated Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge is poised to make its debut in India, following its recent listing on the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) website.

This suggests that the smartphone could soon be available in the Indian market, following its earlier teasers at Samsung’s Galaxy Unpacked event in January and a public showcase at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2025.

Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge Listed on BIS

According to a report by Xpertpick, the Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge has appeared on the BIS certification database, further strengthening speculation about its imminent launch.

While Samsung has yet to confirm the device’s regional availability, its presence on the BIS website is a strong indicator that it is set for an Indian release. Gadgets 360 also verified the listing, adding credibility to the leak.

Reports indicate that the Galaxy S25 Edge will see a global release on April 16, with sales expected to begin a month later. The device is rumored to be priced around $999 (approximately Rs. 86,900), positioning it as a premium offering in the smartphone market.

Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge Specifications and Features

Several leaks have shed light on the specifications of the Galaxy S25 Edge. It is expected to be powered by Qualcomm’s custom Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy chipset, coupled with 12GB of RAM, ensuring a seamless and powerful performance.

The smartphone will run on Samsung’s One UI 7, based on Android 15, and is expected to incorporate Galaxy AI features.

Battery details have emerged through a UK Demko certification listing, revealing that the device will house a 3,900mAh battery. Additionally, a separate listing on China’s 3C website suggests support for 25W fast charging, similar to the base Galaxy S25 model.

In terms of camera capabilities, Galaxy S25 Edge is expected to feature a dual rear camera setup. Leaks indicate that the primary sensor will be a massive 200-megapixel shooter, accompanied by a 12-megapixel ultrawide sensor, ensuring high-quality photography.

The device will sport a 6.65-inch display and is rumored to be the slimmest model in the Galaxy S25 series, measuring just 5.84mm in thickness.

What’s Next for Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge?

While the leaks and certifications provide strong evidence for the upcoming launch, Samsung has yet to make an official announcement regarding the India release. If reports about the April launch are accurate, the next few weeks should bring further confirmations from the company.

Until then, tech enthusiasts and Samsung fans should stay tuned for more updates on the Galaxy S25 Edge, as it gears up to become a notable addition to the flagship smartphone market in 2025.
