The world of automobiles is shifting towards ‘sustainable’ energy.

Automobile manufacturers all over the world are revealing their trump-card innovations in the race towards emission-free transportation.

German luxurious-automobile maker Volkswagen group revealed its all-new electric car – A6 e-Tron at the Shanghai Auto Show.

A6 e-Tron is a fully electric sedan-class concept car and is based on the latest platform called the Premium Platform Electric (PPE).

Design of Audi A6 e-Tron

The company has made sure the Audi A6 e-Tron is a fusion of futuristic and sporty look with a Sportback having an elongated sloping rear roofline that fuses with the tailgate.

The front end of the car bears a signature octagonal grille, the grille is fully closed up to enhance its futuristic look.

The hood of the car is elongated to its signature length.

Volkswagen Group has powered the new Audi’s A6 e-Tron with a dual-motor set-up with a capacity of 469 PS max power and 800M torque. The dual motors are fueled by a powerful 100KWh battery that can be charged by a 270KW DC fast charger.

The company claims that the Audi A6 e-Tron will have a range of more than 700 km on a single charge, and the battery can be fully charged in 25 minutes, and a charge for just 10 minutes can juice the car for up to 300 km. The basic model of the car will have the capacity to go from 0-100 kph in less than 7 seconds and its advanced model can achieve it in just 4 seconds.

Audi A6 e-Tron measures 4.96 meters long, 1.44 meters high, and 1.96 meters wide.

The futuristic look of the car is enhanced with Digital Matrix LED and OLED technology on the front and rear ends.

High-resolution LED projectors on both sides of the body can also warn the pedestrians or the cyclists while opening the door.

They also stated that the high-resolution Matrix LED headlights will also project video games over a wall’s surface, if this feature truly comes true, it will be one of the coolest features we might need to watch out for.

The futuristic OLED technology will enable the owner to customize the 3D light effects of the Audi A6 e-Tron.

The company hasn’t revealed any detail on the Audi A6 e-Tron interior.

Volkswagen Group aims to kick-start production and roll out the A6 e-Tron by 2023.
