Sony Xperia 1 III: Everything You Need to Know

The Japanese tech giant Sony is all gearing up to launch its brand new smartphone- Sony Xperia 1 III.

Sony Xperia 1 III was first revealed on 14th April 2021. And in fact, it did impress with its next-gen features.

Sony is best known for its cameras and Xperia 1 III bears its signature. This smartphone has a 6.50 inch obviously touchscreen 4K HDR OLED 120Hz display with an aspect ratio of 21:9 and 1644×3840 pixels resolution, and has a dimension of 165x71x8.2mm, and weighs 186 grams.

The most intriguing feature of Xperia 1 III is its camera system. It has a triple camera system on the rear. One; a 12-megapixel primary camera with 24mm Focal length, and an F/1.7 aperture, Two; a 12-megapixel camera with 70-105mm Focal length and an F/2.2-2.8 aperture, Three; a 12-megapixel camera with a 16mm Focal length, and an F/2.2 aperture. And it sports a selfie camera having 8-megapixel with an F/2.0 aperture.

And talking about its core power, Xperia 1 III is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 5G processor.

It is equipped with 12GB RAM for seamless interaction and has the internal storage capacity of 256GB, can be enhanced up to 1TB with external memory (via micro SD card).

Sony Xperia 1 III will run on the latest Android 11 operating system. It is powered by a 4500 mAh battery with a USB PD fast-charging system. And just like the other latest gadgets that are rolling out these days, it also has a fast wireless charging system.

But the most standing-out feature of Xperia 1 III is that it has a dedicated shutter button to snap the shots, maybe it’s to remind us what Sony is known for, but whatever the intention is, this will be of great help when using with one hand.

It has an IPX8 water-resistance and IP6X dust protection feature. It has a fingerprint sensor, ambient light sensor, gyroscope, accelerometer, magnetometer/compass, and proximity sensor.

The Xperia 1 III is expected to be made available in August 2021, but you can make your pre-order now. The price is rumored to be around steaming $1,299. As of now, it is only available to pre-order in the USA.
