Resident Evil: Village Hits a New Sales Record

Resident Evil Village :

Despite the unease caused by the ongoing global pandemic, 2021 has been an exciting year for both fans and game developers.

Since the launch of Capcom’s most anticipated game Resident Evil: Village on May 7th, 2021, it sold like steaming hot dogs and set a new record with every passing month.

It sold 4 million copies by the end of May with 3 million during the launch.

And at this point now, Resident Evil: Village has sold over 4.5 million copies worldwide, the milestone was announced on its official website.

Capcom’s producer Tsuyoshi Kanda announced the arrival of DLC to RE Village at Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) 2021. But no further details were provided.

“By popular demand, development has just started on additional DLC for Resident Evil: Village,” the company stated on its live stream.

The company stated that RE Village was an excellent return with the game scoring a 9/10 score in customer’s review.

“It is an excellent return to the horror underpinnings of the franchise, but cunningly altered with new ideas and a new perspective,” the company added.

But there is bad news for the RE fans.

Resident Evil Village Re:Verse that was scheduled for release in July after several delays has been postponed further.

Capcom confirmed that RE Village Re:Verse has now been scheduled to launch in 2022.

RE Re:Verse is a 3rd – person shooter, where gamers can control their bioweapons and protagonists from throughout the history of Resident Evil with the game featuring characters like Leon Kennedy, Claire Redfield, and many more.

The game is still undergoing developments and beta tests to improve the quality for a seamless experience.

This will be the 2nd game in a row to have the separate multiplayer option based on the IP.

Let’s just hope it’s gonna be worth our wait.
