HP’s ‘Omen 16’ Gaming Laptop: Everything You Need To Know

HP Omen 16 :

As the games are evolving for better and improved immersion into the gaming world, the machines that run these heavy AAA games also need upgrades for the seamless gaming experience of the gamer.

And the gaming laptops are built with the sole motto to do the job just fine.

But not all gaming laptops connect with you internally the way you want to. Just ask any gamer about the sacred connection between him and his beast.

So, we decided to survey some best gaming laptops and bring out the beast you’d love to have in your home.

HP’s Omen 16 will choose you…

Hewlett-Packard’s (HP) Omen 16, recently launched latest gaming laptop in the Omen series is one of the most anticipated pieces of technology to tame huge AAA titles which are close to impossible to run on your standard PC.

The new HP Omen 16 (2021) is equipped with up to a 165Hz QHD display (2560×1440 pixels) resolution with a 16:9 aspect ratio that has anti-glare technology and eye-safe display certification by Germany’s TÜV Rheinland.

It is powered by an 11th gen Intel core i7 processor with up to an AMD Ryzen™ 9 5900HX and AMD RDNA 2 architecture-based graphics which act as good engines for heavy AAA games like Baldur’s Gate 3, Halo Infinite, Cyberpunk 2077.

But let’s not forget the most common problem that arises with almost every gaming device – the heat generated while running these games.

Well, to tackle this problem HP has come up with an improved thermal management system, the cooling fan has twice the number of blades compared to Omen 15 and is 2.5 times thinner. The company claims that Omen 16 has HP’s all-new OMEN Tempest Cooling Technology with 3-sided venting and a five-way airflow system with an Infrared (IR) thermopile sensor to allocate power between the GPU and CPU by monitoring their thermal output in real-time.

The standard storage space comes with 512GB but can be customized with a 1TB SSD.

The HP Omen 16 (2022) has a 4-zone RGB anti-ghosting keyboard customized with the Omen Gaming Hub Light Studio for an immersed gaming experience.

The company claims the 83Whr battery can provide nine hours of usage on a single charge, THP isn’t sure if it’s 9hrs of extreme gameplay or just in the standard-use mode.

The device weighs 2.3 kgs(5.07 lbs) and is built using recycled ocean plastic along with recycled aluminum, the company claims.

Omen 16 can be customized in detail as per the gamer’s requirement right here

With all these, the device is priced at $1159 (₹1,39,999).
